French term or phrase: edifiées en cous de mariage
Concernant les constructions: edifiées en cous de mariage à concurrence de moitié chacun

I am helping my father translate a document (notary donation) but am really confused as to what 'en cous de mariage' means in this context, is it a typo and meant to be cours?
Is it a turn of phrase I have simple never encountered?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
