Explanation: As Phil says, it does indeed mean 'character' — what is not entirely clear is how big these 'feuillets' are, but 1,500 characters would be about right for an average page of circa 250 words + av. 6 ch/ wd, especially using a monospaced typewriting font + double line spacing. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 42 minutes (2016-06-04 22:41:02 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It is obvious from the FR syntax that this work will comprise '250 feuillets ... de 1.500 signes' — there is no way one can read that as being the character count for the whole work. |
