what's this fucking mess! Explanation: one of many possibilities what for sure IS NOT correct is to assume that this could possibly have anything to do with a whorehouse, or the speaker's own bum. "bordel" is used to mean, inter alia, "a mess" "chaos" as in "c'est quoi ce bordel?" doesn't mean you accidentally stepped in a bordello, but that something is rather disorganised, or that the desk is overflowing with junk, or that the room is full of rotting half eaten food or ... "de mon cul" is here used as a kind of reinforcement, like in English adding "fucking ..." or "bleeding .." to anything and everything for added effect; otherwise "de mon cul" is used as a negation in an extremely dismissive way as in "écrivain de mon cul" = "a shitty writer" https://www.google.co.uk/search?q="écrivain de mon cul" so it would be about not just an ordinary mess, but a fucking mess! Thinking of it, there might be some assumed connections with a literal "bordel" i.e. a "disorderly house" CL3 only, as depending on the context (and the voice intonation!) it could mean many other things!. |
