Just to end it all before starting Explanation: Since the phrase has no punctuation at the end, such as a period or question mark, it is good you followed through in your translation. This allows the reader to have the option of reading the phrase as if it were a question or a definitive statement. That part of the original needs to remain in the translation. Good job on that point. The definite or questioning aspect of the death part to my way of thinking could be reinforced by adding 'just' at the beginning - in the way of a question - and keeping the verb in the infinitive, which does not lead the reader away from reading the phrase as a definitive statement of what the writer intends to do. |
