You might want to turn the sentence round a bit, I'd like to have said 'the make-up of...' but that may be a little too down-register; 'composition' may well be alright, if it seems to fit with the type of work involved.

Note that there is always a problem to find a gender-neutral way of referring to 'the contractor', but despite the political incorrectness of it, the use of 'he' and 'his' has been confirmed and authorized by at least one of the important bodies involved with public contracts etc. (I forget which, but it has come up before on KudoZ)

"Lot" literally means "batch", implying that it is carrying out a part of the work, but that obviously wouldn't work here.

The only possible translation of "son" is "its". A consortium is a group of companies, and we're talking about one of these companies.

neutral  Tony M: In practice, yes, though 'consistance de son lot' is a little more specific, really; it doesn't mean, for example, that the painter may be asked to do the wiring; but simply that this or that element may or may not be included in the 'work package'

disagree  Tony M: In the specific context of contracting and tenders, a 'lot' is a work package, nothing to do with AE 'lot' = a building plot; don't see where you get 'regular status report' from 'consistance', which is a faux ami for 'consistency', it means 'make-up'

I'm far from sure, but it may "lot" is referring to the size of line coverage area. But it might also just be about any changes in the description of work to be carried out. I'm more apt, though, to go with my instincts: what is the answer box.

So then: the area of line coverage work that a certain engineering group is required to carry out in the bid may change at some point.

consistance = what something consists of

I understand "lot" as being the amount of line coverage work given to a particular contractor (engineering company that runs high voltage lines).
