Obtuse marginal
Explanation:
Although 'obtuse marginal' is also known as the 'artère marginale', it's also possible that they use the English abbreviation - a common practice, in my experience. I'm not 100% however, but maybe it's a possibility? Is there any further text around the sentence that might help?

Here's a website that may help you with medical abbreviations (it's a German website, but it also gives French abbreviations)

https://www.medizinische-abkuerzungen.de/suche.html

Just enter your acronym or abbreviation in the search box and click 'Suche', and it may just help.

Best of luck.

Asker: used to think that at times "obtuse marginal" applied to my brother-in-law.

Asker: Thanks for link to German website.
