21 — 12 = 9 ; 53 — 35 = 18.
Additionnons maintenant les deux nombres ainsi obtenus : 33 + 9 = 42 et soustrayons-les : 33 — 9 = 24.
24 et 42 sont encore un couple de nombres symétriques sur lesquels nous pouvons opérer à nouveau.
Cette règle est toujours valable, tant qu'il n'y a pas de RETENUES.

Le fait que la règle exacte lorsque des RETENUES apparaissent dans les opérations, indique simplement, à notre avis, qu'il y a quelque chose à perfectionner dans notre numération, ce que nous avions déjà pressenti dans la symétrie du Zéro et du Tout.
En tenant compte de cette réserve, la règle reste applicable au-dessus de 100, mais au lieu de considérer les multiples de 11 il faut considérer ceux de 111.

Also I'm wondering:
In this last part, the sentence "Le fait que la règle exacte" is used... looking at the text, I would expect that the author would have used something like "Le fait que la règle est inexacte lorsque...". Am I missing something here?
