French term or phrase: peut être formalisée aux bornes
"La liste de ces équipements [...] peut être formalisée aux bornes d'un labo..."

I am confused primarily by bornes here. For me it means either the bounds - which seems a little odd in the context of lab management - or some sort of terminal. The latter also seems odd.... why would you have some terminal in the lab to formalise a list of critical equipment?

Asker: Well, it is drawn up - this procedure describes that process - but the problem is that it goes without saying, really - you wouldn't say "this list is to be drawn up at home".

Asker: approved suits me, but I am still confused by "bornes"

If it's not a physical place like a terminal or entrance way (does sound strange), perhaps it has a figurative sense.

aux bornes d'un labo = within the guidelines of
