singular investment Explanation: I find a few types of uses online. From the uses for transport tickets and movie tickets, it seems clear to me that we're looking at a single, i.e., one, "ticket". However, sometimes this appears to be a one-use ticket and sometimes it's a single ticket that can be used many times. So, I guess they write it up as one single document. For example, instead of buying one million shares worth $1 each, and equivalent to 20% of the value of the company, you just write up a document that is equivalent to saying that $1 million of capital came in, and that this is equivalent to 20% of the company. Or if it was a bond instead of shares, that there is one single agreement summing up this total amount. In addition to being just one document, it seems pretty clear that it's the sum of the investment from the investing body to the recipient of the capital. deal size Explanation: I think this is simply reporting the value of the amounts invested, so the deal size or individual investment amounts (in the various companies). The ticket is effectively the transaction. The AFIC link below shows reports where ticket is used to mean deal size. I have worked in fund accounting so have some background in this field.
