This is France French. It's a press release about a partnership signed between 2 broadcasting entities in France. The text is: "XX confie à XX la régie **publicitaire d’information**, en exclusivité web et mobile, dans les pays où la marque est présente".
Is this "information advertising" or "news advertising" (in the sense of promoting the channel's information or news content)? My question is: Do you think the English should be "information" or "news"? My gut feeling is "information" but I could be wrong. Thank you as always! :-)

The régie publicitaire sells advertising space. I think this means that the second company has been granted the right to sell the other company's news feeds (so not actually advertising at all really). For example, you buy an Orange mobile and you get LCI news on it because company Y has sold this to Orange on behalf of LCI (company X). Does that sound reasonable?

I understand "régie publicitaire" to be an advertising agency, which may sell advertising space but also also buys advertising space (for its clients). It's in this sense that I understand "régie publicitaire d’information" to be "news advertising" or news advertising/sales.
