in this kind of situation (Discussion of US-Europe free trade negotiations) the problem is not one of understanding, but really of "listening to".
Negotiators are politicians with their own agenda, not necessarily directly related to what businesses want or expect. This sentence is simply about making sure that negotiators from EU are aware of the views of the EU business, that they have listened to what businesses have to say about the matter, and hopefully are not going to ignore it.

Not sure why I hadn't considered 'understood' for 'entendu' or 'views' for 'vision' - perhaps the throbbing in my head from my two recent wisdom tooth extractions is affecting my brain! I truly appreciate all this sensible input, particularly when I'm not able to give you as much context as I'm sure you would like.

I think the English word "vision" is ok in this context, meaning the moral outlook that you'd find an a mission statement and/or the company's ambitions for the future. Companies do use that grand sort of language quite often, I think

can also be 'viewpoint', or perhaps better here 'views' — and 'hearing people's views' is prefectly common and acceptable.

To me, the greater problem here is the 'comment faire en sorte que' + subj. — a construction that will need careful handling in EN to avoid sounding clunky.
