This appears in a Letter of Agreement (which is an appendix to the collective agreement) on the short-term disability income maintenance plan, which covers employees 100%, after a two-day waiting period.

En cas de maladie sans hospitalisation, le délai de carence est récupéré au rythme d’un (1) jour ouvrable de carence par cinq (5) jours ouvrables d’absence (quarante [40] heures). La ***récupération des jours de carence** s’effectue comme suit :
a) 5e jour ouvrable d’absence : récupération d’un (1) jour ouvrable;
b) 10e jour ouvrable d’absence : récupération d’un (1) jour ouvrable additionnel.
