French term or phrase: des verres perdus et des verres consignés
des photos, des dessins, des corps de stylos-feutre depuis longtemps dessécher, des chemises, des verres perdus et des verres consignés, des emballages de cigares, des boites, des gommes, des cartes postales, des livres, de la poussière et des bibelots : c’est ce que j’appelle ma fortune.

English translation:Refundable and non refundable bottles
Explanation:
Not very poetic, the French could possibly also include Kilner type jars but I doubt there was a deposit in such glassware

Asker: This is a Spanish translation: vasos perdidos y vasos no devueitos vasos means glasses or eyeglasses?

neutral  Tony M: Nor even glasses... not usually deposit.

disagree  Daryo: have you read the text? "All my fortune .... including LOST eyeglasses" makes sense to you? What you don't have any longer is supposed to be part of what you have now???

Reference: Perec quote

Reference information:
It's a quote from Geroges Perec's Espèces d'espaces, which has been translated: Species of Spaces and other Pieces.
"The passage of time (my History) leaves behind a residue that accumulates: photographs, drawings, the corpses of long since dried-up felt pens, shirts, non-returnable glasses and returnable glasses, cigar wrappers, tins, erasers, postcards, books, dust and knickknacks: this is what I call my fortune."

Glasses that can be taken back to where they came from I suppose, and glasses that can't. But he dealt in experimental word play and lists, so you don't have to read it literally....are you translating the quote or just want to know what it means?

Right - sounds challenging! Sorry I can't help any further with it, but hopefully you can find the translation for "returnable". Good luck!
