French term or phrase: vision profonde et longue
Bonsoir,

A deep vision on/of a landscape?

agree  writeaway: I have the feeling we are doing someone's homework.

-> Thanks writeaway. But isn't it the case most of the time? I don't remember the last time I posted a question...because I was really stuck. // it's rather amusing (about what you said before and deleted after)

agree  JohnMcDove: Which perception is not subjective? /../ You're welcome. Well, I was in doubt whether to use a "!" or use a "?", so I left it at a "?", I guess my subjective knowledge is still too shallow to be totally objective. ;-)

-> Thank you John - whether you are making a statement or asking a question...:)//Objectivity, too, is in the eye of the beholder...:)

disagree  Daryo: It's not about subjective "impressions" [be it shallow or in-depth] - it's simply down to earth what's called in aviation "visibility" how far away you can see clearly objects, instead of mist or haze.

-> OK. I interpreted it from a painter's artistic viewpoint.

agree  Verginia Ophof: agree that sweeping cover both, but perhaps it can be broken down to a clear/wide (profond) and sweeping view

-> Thanks Verginia. I considered using an extra adjective but decided it would be redundent. :-)

an in-depth perspective

Explanation:
in-depth for 'profonde' and perspective gives the idea of distance (longue).
