Science - Forestry / Wood / Timber / Description of forest
French term or phrase: peuplements de structure issue du taillis sous futaie
Calling all forestry experts!

This is in a partnership agreement for a reforestation project.
The paragraph is a description of the forest:

Elle comporte 58 parcelles d’une surface moyenne de 13 ha chacune et est composée en grande majorité de **peuplements de structure issue du taillis sous futaie**compte tenu de l’origine de la forêt.

I see that "taillis sous futaie" is a traditional system of woodland management: http://glossary.fr.eea.europa.eu/terminology/concept_html?te...

If "peuplement" is "planting/plantations", where does the "structure issue" come in? I'm afraid I just don't know enough about forestry to make sense of the sentence.

the structure of which is the result of//comes from

Explanation:
you will probably translate the whole sentence somewhat differently but your question concerns "issues", as far as I can tell.

It is the structures to which "issues" applies.

The structure you find in the particular plantations of trees is the result of the way the trees were planted, in this particular case the technique described in your link
