So this is a bit of a shot in the dark, trying to hit the context. Ie reforestation, pulling in as great an area as possible. |

by equal areas Explanation: The previous answer to be replaced by this because of information found on WWW.fao.org/docrep/w442f This describes how plots of land can be created for reforestation, smaller towards the village and larger as the distance increases. As opposed to equl sized plots "par surfaces identiques". |
