Men who lived among wolves - often suspected of sorcery or dastardly deeds, sometimes brigands.

They are not werewolves, do not take the shape of wolves.

Does such a figure exist in English folklore?

Actually got this from the well-known feminist theory book "Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype" by Clarrisa, book I think it could work here. "-)

Asker: Hi Leny. I saw this too, but it is the only instance where "wolf leader" does not refer to the head wolf - leader of the pack. I'll probably go with this but I'm still curious to see if something else comes up. Thanks :-)
