French term or phrase: Contrôle financier sur place
Hi guys,

So sorry, last question! The context is an agreement where YY reimbourses XX for a series of costs incurred. XX submits a list of amounts due to YY, but retains the original supporting documents (invoices, receipts, etc.). The text reads:

"XX exerce un contrôle financier sur place et peut à tout moment demander des renseignements complémentaires".

Could these be spot audits without warning, basically YY showing up at XX's premises?

Cheers,
Nick

Explanation:
I don't wholly disagree with "financial inspection", but this is a more common way of expressing it. And l agree with Wendy that it should be YY that carries it out.

on the spot financial control

Explanation:
Financial controls are the procedures, policies, and means by which an organization. monitors and controls the direction, allocation, and usage of its financial resources. Financial controls are at the very core of resource management and operational efficiency in any organization.

on-site financial inspection

Explanation:
Hello

I'd use inspection and not "controls" as financial controls are much more about whole systems and monitoring than a spot check

neutral  B D Finch: Wouldn't that be called an audit?//Thanks for that link. I assume that there's probably the same difference in British English.
