Notes to answerer
Asker: I'm wondering if this isn't the "prime" on a P.E.L. which accounts created before 12/12/2002 are entitled to? I checked this out on a google search and found out that one advantage of a P.E.L. was an annual payment of up to 1525 euros by French government. The deposit amount was slightly less than this.
