| promage PROM-programming / burning the PROM Explanation: Only a guess, but a P.R.O.M. (Pogrammable Read-Only Memory) has to be programmed with the information it is supposed to contain. We normally talk abiut 'burning' a ROM, but my knowledge in this field is not sufficient, nor is the context, to know for sure if this is a 'burning' process at all; the whole thing depends on what TYPE of PROM this is: EPROM, EEPROM, etc. |
