Hi everyone,

I have a question from a set of articles dealing with automation in the pharmaceutical industry. I’m a life scientist so the IT/electronics component is not familiar. This question relates to an article on the expansion/updating of automated control systems in a plasma fractionation facility.

Cette nouvelle architecture a ete pensee pour assurer une haute disponibilite en travaillant sur trois axes :
• -La mise en place d’une redondance pour toutes les ressources applicatives SCADA
• -Une refection complete de l’infrastructure reseau du site (avec bouclages multiples des baies de brassage par fibres optiques)

I’m stuck on the ‘avec bouclages multiples des baies de brassage par fibres optiques’. At the moment I have – ‘with multiple fibre-optic patch panel loops’.

any help/feedback greatly appreciated.

It's hard to be entirely sure without more context; logically, here, I'd expect them to be talking about looping BETWEEN patch bays — but to be 100% certain that 'between' is the right preposition to use, it would need more context...

Note that generally 'baie' is a 'bay' or 'rack', i.e. the whole big thing, bigger than the smaller 'patch panel' that might well be included within it.
