Merry Yuletide! To those of you who are playing KudoZ rather than playing Father Christmas:

"Un biorupteur est un appareillage qui permet la coupure automatique d'un circuit électrique en l'absence de toute consommation."

But, what is it in UK English? I have seen it translated as "automatic circuit breaker", but I don't think that is sufficiently specific as an automatic circuit breaker may be triggered by things other than the absence of current being drawn.
