English translation:First year of senior high school
Explanation:
When students start senior high school, they do so at 'deuxieme', then 'premiere' before going into 'terminale'. You can't really say 'second year' as this would correspond with primary school in the UK.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response. So, to answer your question, there are three years of senior high school, which begin at
'deuxieme', then 'premiere' and the final year is 'terminale'. I'm not so familiar with the British system. However, I did find a
good picture which provides a rough comparison of the two systems:

Thanks, in the end I used "Year 2, secondary 2, university strem G" as I think "converting" year numbers could be very confusing

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Conor, so there are two years in senior High School, roughly equivalent to the two years in UK 6th form?
