This comes in a research project proposal into Gaucher disease phenotypes, in the "Sequencing data analysis, interpretation and validation" section:
"Si nécessaire, l’analyse de l’ADN génomique des parents des patients participant à l’étude sera réalisée. Ceci permettra, après « soustraction » des variants hérités, d’identifier de façon robuste des mutations de novo participant au phénotype observé chez les patients et ainsi valider la pathogénicité des variants concernés.
Des échantillons biologiques seront conservés, en particulier des ***culots secs*** de leucocytes totaux, qui seront disponibles dans le cas où des données de patron d’expression seront nécessaires pour l’interprétation des données de séquençage."

I have:
"If required, the genomic DNA analysis of the parents of patients participating in the study will be carried out. After "subtracting" the inherited variants this will allow de novo mutations participating in the phenotype seen in the patients to be reliably identified and thus the pathogenicity of the variants concerned to be confirmed.
Biological samples will be stored, particularly ??????? of total leukocytes, which will be available in the event of pattern of expression data being needed to interpret sequencing data."

I'm guessing this is a form of dry sample, but am absolutely sure there must be a term...
