Asker: I think Lionel is right and I suspect they may well simply be taking about filter tips

agree  Gabrielle Leyden: fritté = sintered, fritted, vitrified, depending on field & material. Any chemists in the room?

-> Well, you seem to be on track, chemist or not :-)
agree  Lionel_M (X): the point is that a P10 (a pipette "gilson" for instance) does NOT use glass tips; glass tips are not for hand pipettes in labs. And "fritted" is glass: that's why I do not understand
39 mins
-> Hi, I am not recommending "glass" is included here..just that fritted/sintered is correct.
agree  Dr Lofthouse: In the lab, we just call them 'pipette tips' - as they're measuring microliter quantities up to 1, 000, my guess is they are the glass tube type, rather than plastic
