volume/number of insemination doses Explanation: I agree with Lionel, the source text is not very clear. I think they mean the annual number of doses administered per female pig in the breeding facility. What is confusing is that "dose d'insemination" (insemination dose) depends on both the concentration of sperm and the volume in which it is administered. See http://www.uky.edu/Ag/AnimalSciences/pubs/asc117.pdf for a discussion of insemination dose (in stallion breeding, but it should apply to pigs as well) |
