rouleaux (rouleau) formation Explanation: it remains that in english rouleaux (formation): A condition where a number of red blood cells are seen to overlap each other on peripheral blood film examinations. The appearance is that of a flattened stack of coins. True rouleaux is evident in all areas of a peripheral blood film. Rouleaux appears as an artifact in thicker areas of a blood film only.
