Curtain Walls Explanation: There is a difference between "ordinary" walls and curtain walls in this context. That said, it seems to be so subtle I question whether you want to make the distinction in your text. Look at photos of the walls, or a schematic of the town - are all the walls actually curtain walls, or are there long stretches of wall (with bends) that do not contain towers?
