Let's not lose sight of the fact that 'lanceur d'alerte' is a much older term, long before anyone coined the expression "whistle-blower" and the FR term got hijacked to translate it.

'collaborative' is something of a buzzword in IT at the moment, and I would depart from it at your peril.

Yes, I see. Thank you. I agree (as I say in my suggestion below), but wonder, rather like you, if the term lanceur d'alerte in the name of the app is a rather inappropriate - but very eye-catching! - use of the term. Even if I translated from "premiers lanceurs d'alerte collaboratifs", rather than what has been explained as the name of the app, I think I will not change my answer, but just say that it can be put into the singular. I am still rather bemused by the use of the term! But I feel it's probably a marketing gimmick !

@Katsy, thanks. Yes, this is what I also found, which led me to post this question - the term 'whistleblowers' seems to me to have a different connotation in comparison with the context of pest management, since they are collaborating in the pest management initiative.

if I understand your remarks below correctly, your issue is with "lanceur". Parsing? "Lanceur d'alerte " is the term used to translate "whistleblower"; so the people described in the ST are whistleblowers, and the word "collaboratifs", as clear in the expression, qualifies "lanceurs d'alerte"
