shipping in standard units/containers Explanation: On this site: http://dialog.hut.fi/publications/TiekeArtikkeli.pdf there is a passage: kuljetusyksiköiden yksilöintijärjestelmä ISO 6346:1995 "shipping container identification" In Finnish 'kuljetusyksikkö' can refer to any standard size "shipping container/unit" like kuormalava (pallet), rullakko (roller cage), kontti (container). I am not sure about what would be a proper equivalent for 'yksikkö' in English. I have a feeling that both 'container' and 'unit' can be misunderstood. |
