Medical (general)
Finnish term or phrase: eilen jo vastaavankaltaisia oireita lievempänä
Medical notes on a cardiac patient:

"
[...]
Nyt tunti ennen sairaalan tuloa alkanut närästävä puristava rintakipu, eilen jo vastaavankaltaisia oireita lievempänä.
[...]
"

Because this is written in very clipped shorthand, I can't resolve what "eilen jo vastaavankaltaisia oireita lievempänä" means.

Does it mean

1) "Yesterday, there were similar symptoms, [but] milder."
or
2) "It [= today's chest pain] was milder than the similar symptoms experienced yesterday."

?

Thanks

English translation:similar symptoms already yesterday, but milder
Explanation:
I would understand it according to your option 1, if you think of the presentation of a cardiac patient in its context.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks. That seemed right to me as well, but it also seemed just possible that this was a construction like "minua pidempi", where the partitive conveys the meaning "than".
