My problem was that in the text it says, e.g., näytöllinen and then later on the referent is actually a näyttö or display literally stated.

neutral  Jyri Lehtinen: 'Monitor' seems also to be a good translation, but according to that dictionary a VDU is a separate terminal incorporating a keyboard and equipped with a port through which it can be connected to a central computer, so this does not seem to apply here.
