Greetings,

I'm watching a new serial on Iran TV called “شیخ بهایی”.

I have found a website which provides background knowledge:
http://noorportal.net/90/106/33966.aspx

However, I find myself unable to get past the title:
علل جدا شدن آناتولي از دولت صفويه

At first I thought that آناتولي = Anatolia, therefore دولت آناتولي (mentioned as the state power in the serial) = the Ottoman Empire. But for the Ottoman Empire you use “امپراتوری عثمانی”.

I certainly wasn’t aware that Anatolia or even a part of it belonged to the Safavid Empire, but as far as I can see علل جدا شدن آناتولي از دولت صفويه = the reasons for the separation of Anatolia from the Safavid state.

All the best, and many thanks,

Simon
