Persian (Farsi) term or phrase: نوادگان درجه یک او
Greetings,

I should point out that Vāh is a place in Pakistan, and the writer was a member of the Pakistani aristocratic class.

اینجا واه بود، اینجا خانۀ من بود، و بعر از همۀ این تفاصیل مأمن و مأوای من بود، جایی که هفتصد سال پیس نواب محمود حیات خان سالار و حکنران ملاک، در آن میزیست. ما از نوادگان درجه یک او بودیم و خانوادۀ من در سرتاسر هندوستان به حیات داران واه معروف بودند

Incidentally, is it possible to have نوادگان درجه دوی او, نوادگان درجه سۀ او etc.?

All the best, and many thanks,

Simon

chaotic_system: how come people at 700 years later can be top grandchildern

I think we are not here as a translator to condem history but just to be loyal to text being translated however it is a fictious and out of mind

Notes to answerer
Asker: You're absolutely right - in fact it turns out that the 700 years is wrong (please see my discussion entry). Could درجه یک mean that they are granchildren 100% through the male line?
