伊朗国土面积比伊拉克和阿富汗面积之和还要大,扎格罗斯山脉和库赫鲁德山脉掩护了伊朗大部分战略目标。
My apologies for putting some Chinese characters here. This is the name of a mountain in Iran. I asked this question in the Chinese-English pair but cannot confirm the answers provided. I believe this mountain and the Zagros Mountains provide protections for majority of Iran's strategic targets from an air strike. I appreciate your help.

Kuh Rud
Explanation:
The Chinese suggestion transposed two letters in Khurud. The mountains are also known as Karkas and the highest peak near Natanz is also called Karkas.
See http://www.worldwildlife.org/wildworld/profiles/terrestrial/...
This article refers to the peak as Kuh-i-Kargiz.

There is also a small town in these mountains called Kuh Rud (Kuhrud) or Qoh Rud (Qohrud), depending on the atlas. In addition, there is an area in Eastern Iran near the Afghan border called Kuh Rud, but that is not the place in question.

Transliterated place names can be problematic.

Karkas

Explanation:
I can not read the Chinese characters you've put here, but the mountain is "Karkas"

Karkas mountain chain or Karkas (Persian رشته كوه كركس Reshteh kuh-e Karkas) is located in Central Iran.

It ranges from Kashan to Ardestan over more than 100 km and is mainly composed of igneous (plutonic and volcanic), pyroclastic and somewhat sedimentary Tertiary rocks. In the central part, this mountain chain consists of a Precambrian-Paleozoic basement.

The highest peak of the Karkas Mountains is 3895m which is close to Natanz.

Etymology
Although in Persian Karkas means vulture, it is possible that the name of this mountain chain is derived from the settlement activity of ancient Kassites in the area, since in the ancient Assyrian language Kar-Kassi means “town or land of the Kassites” (modified interpretation after Roman Ghirshman, 1954).

disagree  Edward Plaisance Jr: Kuh Rud is what the Chinese suggestion was trying to say. The mountains are also known as Karkas and the highest peak, near Natanz is also called Karkas. See http://www.worldwildlife.org/wildworld/profiles/terrestrial/...
