section of track enclosed in an above-ground anti-noise concrete box tunnel Explanation: It refers to the Barendrecht section of the line. I think the word "enclosure", which is not commonly used in this sense, may come from Dutch. It's used here in relation to Barendrecht: "The Betuweroute will transport (dangerous) goods, introducing the risk of potential large fires and explosions. The first tunnel to be completed is the cargo tube of enclosure Barendrecht." Schermer E. G., Van Cappellen C., "Barendrecht - the first Dutch rail tunnel with a deluge sprinkler system" http://trid.trb.org/view.aspx?id=771041 "Barendrecht railway station, where 9 tracks are in a 1.5 kilometers (0.93 mi) long structure, much of it covered under a layer of earth, to keep noise at bay." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betuweroute Here's a picture, which gives a very good idea of what it's like. It says two tubes because although there are nine tracks in all, only two of the tubes are for the Betuweroute: http://structurae.net/structures/barendrecht-noise-tunnel "Nine tracks cross the suburb of Barendrecht near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Besides tracks for high-speed cargo and passenger lines, also four regular passenger traffic railway lines are present. These nine tracks are located in a 1500m long and 60m wide covered concrete tunnel above ground level." Bert Snijder et al.
