English term or phrase: nickname for arab/muslim husband
Hi,

I need a word by which a white woman, rather uneducated and rough would call her UK Muslim husband in her family circle with certain affection but also a reference to his culture that is foreign to hers. No negative connotations.

Thank you.

agree  Anton Konashenok: Yes, but with a comment: "habibi" is literally "my friend", and it covers the whole spectrum from admiration of one's life partner to a casual show of respect in a conversation (hence the use of "my friend" as a term of address by Arabs speaking English)
