agree  Can Altinbay: Wouldn't trimester be a third of a year? Q - quarter. Also, 11 might actually be II, therefore, 2.//OK-got it confused with something else.
4 mins
  -> a trimester is 1/4 of a year (a quarter); the number can be everything from 1 to 4 :)

agree  sarahl (X): to Can: a trimester is a quarter of a year, 3x4= 12.
6 mins
  -> thanks

neutral  pidzej: isn't trimester sorta reserved for pregnancies? Q is for quarter, after all
33 mins

disagree  David Moore (X): I don't think trimester would be understood in this context

agree  Robert Donahue (X): Leaning toward the roman numeral theory myself. It's the only thing that makes sense.+++In the states that is. I've dicovered, much to my chagrin, that they are more commonly used overseas. Like I didn't have enough issues with the metric system! : )

  -> Not very common to use Roman numerals referring to quarters, but it does happen, and it is more likely than a typo.
