English translation: rubbing

Medical - Medical: Instruments
English term or phrase: pressing
Occasionally, some dirt stuck to the surface of the lens, but it was to be removed via the pressing and friction between the capsule and the inner inning of the intestine; it was unavoidable that vibration occurred when the capsule traveled through the digestive tract by peristaltic waves, and consequently the quality of a very few images were affected

Pressing .... between does not sound right. Can somebody give another way to express it?

(the lens is on the capsule moving in the intestine)

Selected answer:rubbing
Explanation:
Occasionally, the surface of the lenses became fouled. However, this was removed due to the friction caused by the capsule rubbing against the inner lining of the intestine.

Jianming, as I read your translation, I am under the impression that the lense became fouled in the body (it\'s not dirt). This fouling was rubbed off as the lense moved through the intestines, rubbing away the fouling/gunk.
