product code Explanation: Without more context, my initial impression is that they are referring to the product code. Only some products in the range are suitable high flow rate situations and the appropriate ones are listed in the table opposite?. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2010-08-27 01:18:48 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sibsab's comment is a fair one and I agree with Liz too. I don't think that a native English speaker would use 'reference' as a synonym for product, though as Liz points out référence is used in that way in French. If it isn't a slightly inaccurate translation and was indeed written by a native English speaker, it may just be a slightly sloppy way of writing "Always verify that the XXX® product implanted is one of those whose reference codes are listed in the table opposite." I maintain though that the word reference evokes the idea of a code. |

Reference Reference information: p.s. référence can also = item/product in French (if this is a translation from the French).."reference" in English makes no sense to me here. |
