Perfect health has a utility value of 1. "Utilities", in the plural, refers to the assessment of utility in more than one case (more than one patient, the same patient in different scenarios). "Utility" can be used in this field not only to outcomes not only for the sufferer but also for the caregiver, so it can refer to quality of life. "Instead, the manufacturer obtained health state utility values from Orme et al. (2007), a UK survey of health-related quality of life in (EQ-5D) in people with multiple sclerosis.
