This is a very common mistake made by non-native speakers of EN, as in EN, 'to remind' cannot be a transitive verb other than with a personal object — unlike many other languages. So the structure normally used is 'to remind someone of something'. Here, it doesn't work, because we have no 'someone' nor do we have an 'of'. As others have said, depdning on the exact context, we might use other verbs like 'recall' or 'evoke', or quite often 'commemorate'. Otherwise we need to re-phrase top get round the problem. |
