The text is from a section in English that appears in a Spanish document I'm translating. I suspect it may have been translated into English by a Spanish speaker, or maybe an American.
A simple question: is "sire" a typo here?
"Redundant UPS systems are installed, one is sited for 180 kW and the other is sired to 225 kW."
