English term or phrase: optimistic
I need an adjective to describe a boy who has been changed into a mouse and says this : " I know what they´ve done, Grandmamma, and I know what I am, but the funny thing is that I don´t honestly feel especially bad about it. I don´t even feel angry. In fact, I feel rather good."
I need to describe this aspect of his personality. I´d say he´s optimistic or maybe positive, Is there any other word that describes him best?

neutral  writeaway: good synonym but is the little boy upbeat about being changed into a mouse? He feels good (about it). Upbeat doesn't really work here

-> Hi, writeway, As I see it, the asker needs a term that describes his peronality in general and not his state of mind in this particular situation. If this is not the case, I would opt for "cheerful" or "content" probably.
