I just don\'t think that the holder for such pads is a common enough item that it would be used in a Quiz... That\'s why I think that the pad itself is meant.

neutral  Johan Venter: Almost. A hot pad is what dishes are handled with. A hot pad holder is where you hang them :)// the holder is also flat as it is something that is hung against the wall with some pins for hanging the cloths and pads on

  -> I understand that, but how do you picture that as a flat kind of shape? The Quiz is talking about CDs and blankets and such, all of which are flat things.
agree  Can Altinbay: Because the gold is being flattened into flat things, I'm of the opinion that the "holder" is in error, or they meant "hot pan holder".
