English term or phrase: pending area of work
A section of a personal hygiene policy drawn up by a confectionery company reads as follows:

‘’All food handling employees and persons entering factory areas are required to wear the following PPE:

Mobcap / Hairnet
Protective garment
Gloves ( where appropriate)
Safety shoes

On entering production the following procedure must be followed in order:

1. Mobcap / Hairnet on –

2. Gloves if applicable / Sanitise hands

3. Protective garments on (Pending area of work)

4. Hand washing as per procedure

5. Enter factory’’

In this context, does ‘’pending’’ mean ‘’prior to entering’’ or perhaps ''depending on''?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
