I'd like to ask if I can use the indefinite article before the above expression provided I mention it for the first time.
***An assigned energy forecast profile*** sounds wrong to me. Or should I use 'the'?
I'd highly appreciate if you can provide a rule for using articles before adjectives, if any.

An assigned energy forecast profile, is a flow chart or a graph plotting your projected forecast of the assigned energy which is available within the system. Your forecast of how you wish to distribute this assigned energy in graph form. The graph is the profile.
