Thanks for your explanation. I know you gave a partial explanation before but it's good to have more background on your reasons for carrying out this project since you are showing as a "non-translator".
I hope you can donate the films you've transcribed, translated and sub-titled to some film institute or archive as I'm sure other people would like to see these too? Or perhaps there's some film buffs' club?
By the way, many of these questions are very easy for me to hear and so I vote some of them, the easiest ones, non-Pro (including one I answered myself). Not for any other reason.
Of course, I understand that when you're more attuned to US English it's more difficult for you to understand these accents. However, so far there were just 2 that I couldn't get myself (which Alison and BDF deciphered)

Thanks a lot Charles and Jane! You can't imagine how grateful I'm. You have been helping me a lot and because of you all I'll be able to have this film subtitled in Portuguese. It's a way of remembering my parents. They loved this film. We watched it together 50 years ago.

Comments like that are against the site rules, rude, mean-minded, completely unfounded, and also absurdly illogical, in that voting non-Pro has nothing whatever to do with the reasons you've stated.

2. Each of this asker's questions concerns about 2-3 seconds of the film. In total, he has so far asked about approximately one minute of a film lasting nearly 80 minutes.

Hi Edith! First of all, I don't have every minute transcribed for free. And I have the right to ask 5 questions a day and that's what I'm doing. If you don't like it, please, don't help me on this. All the translators are helping me in good faith and I don't see why I can't ask for their help if I'm entitled to ask 5 questions per day. Another thing you don't know: here in Brazil it's very difficult to find somebody that could understand all the lines of this film. I would have to find somebody from England here, and it is very difficult. I've already explained that this film is for me. For my private collection, because I'm a film collector. I don't work as a translator, I do this kind of activity for me. And I wouldn't afford to hire somebody to transcribe all the lines of this film. I've already made 170 translations for me, because I am a cinephile and this is my hobby. I'm a retired man (I'm 68 years old) and I hope you'll understand my explanation. Nobody told me that I couldn't ask questions (5 per day) because I'm only a cinephile. Thanks for your time.
