English term or phrase: tend to show displacement
This study delimits the distribution of M. schiedeana in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, through ecological niche modeling and its future distribution in two periods; the year of 2040 and the year of 2080. The results show that the models of distribution tend to show displacement towards northeastern Mexico.

It is correct, to say it this way?

gradual migration

Explanation:
Well, my Spanish is lousy, but 'displacement' does not appear to me to be the correct term in English.

I assume you want to say that the area 'colonized' by the plant is slowly moving northeast. You might use
movement,
migration (although this sounds like they are growing legs and walking).

displacement sounds to me like they are being physically pushed there by something else.

My thoughts from the USA.
