English to Swedish translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Architecture / car parks
English term or phrase: column
Phrase 1: "The barrier is mounted directly onto the structural columns with interim posts fitted if necessary, subject to the system chosen."

Phrase 2: "column-mounted system"

Here, "column" should be a generic concept covering any sorts of columns generally used in car parks.
See e.g. the upper image at http://www.berrysystems.co.uk/barrier_types.html, the one under which it says "Column Mounted System".
Notice that "columns" are "structural" and must be terminologically distinguishable from "posts", which are merely "interim".

I'm a little bit confused. IATE appears to recommend "pelare", while this doesn't really fits with the Wikipedia definition of "pelare", while other online dictionaries appear to go for "kolonn" but I would feel more inclined to use something like "stolpe" but this too doesn't sound entirely correct...
